Pete the Cat: School Jam App Reviews

Yellow strips in the centre of screen that dont disappear. Only 4 levels to search. My daughter doesnt want to play again because everything is in the same place each time and it is too easy to memorize. But the guitar game at the end is brutal! You have to tap the exact centre of the dots, which is hard enough for me as an adult. The two games are at vastly different skill levels. Wish I could get a refund. Very disappointing purchase!

My son had zero fun with this. Go with a PBS kids app instead

Get rid of the yellow bars. Having a software engineer husband helps me to know this is not a hard fix. Love Pete and hope that there will be more effort put into this app.

Its cute but our 6 year old finished it in no time. I thought there was more levels. It should be free not 0.99 cent because it doesnt take long to do it. Sorry really not worth it money. He liked it but was upset when it was over so fast.

I purchased this app for my 3 year old who loved his Pete the Cat -Love My New Shoes book. The part where it says to point camera at any Pete the Cat book and you will see some sort of 3D jam session turns out to be just my camera looking at the book with no special effects at all. My son still has fun looking for all the items however some are hidden pretty well and difficult for him to find. Overall, it is worth it for 99 cents.

I guess I was just expecting more. Seems like I have had a lot more for my money. I bought this app for my 3 year old who was so excited about a Pete the cat app but it doesnt do much. Just search for a bunch of items on four pages and thats pretty much it

Using iPad mini with iOS 8 update. Disappointed that the app has flaws. Two yellow strips in CENTER of viewing screen that do not disappear. Camera would not take picture of front of Pete the Cat book. Sound not working on guitar game. Some items in search games do not appear?? Live Pete the Cat but want my app to work as you have to pay for it.

Game keeps crashing. Have uninstalled and re-installed multiple times. May be a great game for a preschooler but havent been able to play beyond the first level. Disappointing.

Do not buy and listen to the reviewers! The app does not function correctly in iOS 8. 2 yellow bars in the middle of the screen interferes with gameplay and they never go away.

There are two yellow bars in the middle of the game screen which are weird and annoying (clearly a bug -they serve no purpose), but the game is very playable and so far Ive not had the crashes the other reviews are mentioning. Its too bad the developer doesnt have a link anywhere in the app to report these kinds of issues, but for $1.19 youll still have a pretty happy kidlets if you get this app.

Fun searching game with musical instruments is just right for my young son.

I bought this cause my class loves the books but sadly when I downloaded it there was no sound!!!!! Please fix!!!!

Had a problem with version 1 on my daughters iPod & my iPad 1 but new version works on both now. Also, no sound problem. Be sure to check your mute button and settings.

This app is horrible! Dont purchase. There is not much to the game and it repeats the same annoying music. I love the books so its a shame this app is so bad! I gave it one star because I love the books. But app should have no stars!

Love the books. But the app really is t that useful nor is it fun. It repeats over and over wish I could get my money back and return it.

My four-year-old son was so excited for Pete the Cat to "magically appear" as repeated over and over in the app. He used his own money to buy a Pete the Cat book so he could point the iPad at the cover and "rock out" with Pete the Cat. But, guess what, nothing happens. The screen goes black and you get an "OCAR Failed to Load" error. Fun! (Not.) When you make an app for kids, and youre promising them things, it better work. We have an iPad 2 and an iPad 3 (proper equipment) and have deleted and reinstalled the app and restarted the iPad(s) to no avail. Same result each time. My son was literally crying because he was so excited and looking forward to this. Shame on you Harper Collins!

App crashes after first level. Is there supposed to be sound?!

No sound....only has 4 easy games. Not worth the money

Once all 4 levels have been won, the ability to select levels becomes nonexistent. The app cannot distinguish a touch/tap to select any level other than the 1st one. The game becomes useless at that point. Delete, reinstall, start over.

There is no sound on this app. My kids love the Pete books so I was excited when I found this app. Disappointed. What good is a guitar game with no sound? By the way I checked my sound settings and my iPad is NOT muted.
